ARCHIVAL GRANTS MINI-WORKSHOP

  • 05 Nov 2019
  • 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Mennonite Heritage Centre Archives, 610 Shaftesbury Blvd, Winnipeg

Registration is closed

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

A FREE Mini-Workshop on writing grants for archives, and which grants are available for organizations with archives in Manitoba. The presenters will discuss the requirements for the upcoming Documentary Heritage Communities Program grant applications, due January 2020 for the 2020-2021 funding cycle. They will also discuss other Federal granting programs for the heritage sector (such as Young Canada Works), as well as provincial granting and funding structures. Included in these discussions will be presentations from successful grant applicants, as well as recommendations for archival language and possibilities for partnerships when applying for certain grants.

Participants are invited to bring application material - in-progress & incomplete applications are welcome! This is an opportunity for guidance from successful recent grant applicants, and to work together with other Association for Manitoba Archives members to provide each other with feedback and assistance to build our grant-writing skill sets and awareness of available funding.

PRESENTERS:

Carmen Miedema, DHCP Regional Ambassador for the North and Indigenous Projects

Marta Dabros, Ogniwo Polish Museum

Conrad Stoesz, Mennonite Heritage Archives
