The following organizations offer a number of professional development opportunities annually.  listing of non-AMA offered professional development opportunities are listed below

Archives Association of British Columbia (AABC)

ARMA International Certificate Program

Saskatchewan Council for Archives and Archivists (SCAA)

Yukon Council of Archives

International Society of Appraisers (ISA)

National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)

Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC)

Canadian Heritage

• Canadian Heritage offers online resources for museology and conservation as well as digital preservation.

Connecting to Collections Care

• Connecting to Collections Care offers a variety of resources regarding caring for collections.  While their webinar and course archives are searchable from their home page, we would like to highlight Caring for Archives: Fundamentals for Everyone and Collections Care Basics: Where Do I Begin? as they are both aimed at beginners.

Image Permanence Institute

• The Image Permanence Institute offers several free webinars and publications that are useful for all interested in preservation.

National Archival Appraisal Board (NAAB)

• NAAB offers a variety of workshops on appraisal and its importance for heritage institutions.  More information on their programs can be found on their events page.  NAAB also has links to various resources to help institutions with appraisal.
